40 Years of EU Membership: Where next for Britain? Kings College London
The event was a wide ranging debate on the advantages and disadvantages of Britain’s membership of the EU, the implications for the UK of forthcoming EU treaties, and the case for and against a referendum on membership. This last section of the debate investigates how realistic is David Cameron’s suggestion of a thorough renegotiation of the UK’s relationship with the EU, and his idea of holding an “in-in” referendum in the next parliament.
